Today, we at Effective Building & Consultancy have undertaken a home warranty defects inspection of 8 townhouses left unattended for an extended period. The client had requested a surveyor to check the building’s corners to corroborate the construction efficiency, a pier inspection to validate the soundness of the structure, and a plumbing camera inspection to ensure plumbing accuracy works. Our inspection has ascertained the scope of works for the new building contractor undertaking the project.

Our main concern is the mould sighted on the lightweight party walls and the yellow tung flooring, which has been left exposed to weather over a long period of time. It is a shame that the building was left so long without any covering, the consequence of which will lead to the whole structure getting demolished.
