insurance inspection

Accidents can result from unforeseen circumstances, often culminating with serious damage to your property. The good thing is your property is covered by insurance, so you do not have to sweat about spending too much on repairs and replacements.

However, making an insurance claim for your damaged property could be relatively stressful if your documentation isnโ€™t foolproof. The worst-case scenario can be the rejection of your claim from a lack of enough evidence.

Today, our competent building consultant, Elie Farah, undertook a second opinion building inspection for clients who had their insurance claim rejected. Our client was surprised when the inspection took over 1 hour.

During the inspection, a moisture meter was used to determine if the current leak will deteriorate. Additionally, an electric level was employed to ascertain if the ceiling had a bow, and the bow displacement was measured as a source of evidence for the damage incurred.

We at Effective Building & Consultancy have based our work on the inception of an unbiased and fair approach. The negligence and ignorance at the clientโ€™s property further affirmed the inefficiency of the insurance assessor, who chose to remain in his car for 2 hours and ended up with a shocking 10 minutes at the site!

This is common for the building inspector hired by the insurance provider as they will most likely work in favour of the insurance company’s interests, eventually generating a report favourable to the insurance provider.
